The Story of TTEA: A Brand's Journey

The Beginning of the Protagonist

The story begins with Li Ran, born into a tea farming family in Fujian, China. Growing up surrounded by lush tea mountains, he was immersed in the fragrant aroma of tea leaves and the family’s dedication to tea cultivation and craftsmanship. His grandfather, a renowned tea master in the village, often shared tales about tea’s history, artistry, and the vitality contained within each leaf. These stories instilled in young Li Ran a deep reverence for tea culture.

However, as an adult, Li Ran chose a different path. He moved to the city to study international trade, hoping to escape the small-town life. The bustling urban environment fascinated him but also left him feeling lost—he missed the serenity and authenticity of the tea mountains.

A Fortuitous Encounter

During a business trip, Li Ran was invited to attend a tea culture exchange event in the UK. At a tea tasting session, he witnessed foreign misconceptions about Chinese tea: some viewed it as a cheap, simple beverage, while others brewed it into bitter, thick concoctions. He felt a mix of pride for the richness of Chinese tea culture and regret for its limited international reach.

It was at this event that he met Alan, an elderly British tea merchant. Alan shared how he had traveled to Hangzhou, China, in his youth to learn about tea-making and was captivated by the charm of Longjing tea. However, he lamented how difficult it was to find authentic Chinese tea overseas. Alan eagerly asked Li Ran if they could collaborate to bring genuine Chinese tea to European markets.

Returning to His Roots

This encounter made Li Ran rethink the significance of tea. Upon returning to China, he embarked on a journey across the country’s major tea regions to find the finest, most authentic tea leaves. He visited Pu’er plantations in Yunnan, rock tea gardens in Wuyi Mountains, Tieguanyin farms in Anxi, and even ventured to the villages of Longjing in Zhejiang. He discovered that every tea leaf carried the sweat and dedication of tea farmers, but many high-quality teas failed to reach global markets due to a lack of branding.

Li Ran realized that tea was not just a beverage but a cultural vessel. Leveraging his international trade experience, he decided to bring the essence of Chinese tea culture to the world.

The Birth of a Brand

After overcoming numerous challenges, he founded the brand "TTEA," which stands for "Tradition & Sharing." Li Ran personally selected tea suppliers to ensure every leaf met the highest quality standards and retained the unique flavors of its origin. He also infused modern aesthetics into the brand’s design, using internationalized packaging and storytelling to make Chinese tea more appealing to a global audience.

The first batch of TTEA products didn’t receive the anticipated response, but Li Ran was undeterred. He organized online and offline tea-tasting events to share the stories behind Chinese tea, gradually attracting a loyal customer base of culture enthusiasts. When he shared his journey from a small village to the international stage and how tea connected the world, more people resonated with his brand's philosophy.

TTEA Today

Today, TTEA is a renowned Chinese tea brand, selling its products across Europe, America, and Asia. The brand is not just about selling tea—it’s about sharing a spirit: tea is a bridge that transcends cultures and borders, bringing people closer together.

Li Ran believes TTEA is not only his career but also a continuation of the precious memories he shared with his grandfather in the tea mountains. He hopes every cup of tea allows people to experience the depth and warmth of Chinese tea culture.
